Artificial Intelligence: Its Bigger Than You Think

Bigger than Geopolitical and Military Alignments

If you don’t know as of this writing, the experts in the field of AI are “freaking out” and genuinely frightened by what they are building. Google recently posted – A notable number of researchers, including AI “godfather” Geoffrey Hinton and CEOs like Sam Altman (OpenAI) and Dario Amodei (Anthropic), have signed open letters and given interviews highlighting the potential for advanced AI (Artificial General Intelligence or Superintelligence) to become uncontrollable and pose a risk of human extinction. Some safety researchers are so concerned they are reportedly not saving for retirement because they doubt humanity will survive long enough.

Do yourself a favor and watch this video to see just how scary it will be in the next 18-24 months.

The AI story that is being played out in the news is bigger than everything. This is even bigger than Abraham and Israel and all the following kingdoms and nations that followed. It’s bigger because it precedes all of these. It started in the garden.

Mankind is locked in a death spiral to beat other companies and other nations to possess the most powerful super intelligent AI. For the first time since creation mankind possesses the tools to create a God-like super intelligence. Whoever gets there first will dominate the rest of the world. That’s why nobody will take their foot off the gas pedal.

Please hear this point. The beginning of understanding is in the beginning. God put “two trees” in the garden to give Man a choice between God’s life or a Knowledge divorced from Him.

The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 2:8, 9 NKJV

Those trees (choices) are present in every heart, home, boardroom, and government house on the planet. WE choose between God’s life, that has all the knowledge we need, and man’s knowledge separate from His person.

And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you[f] shall surely die.” Genesis 2:16, 17 NKJV

What many overlook, is that even the good fruit from the wrong tree still produces death! Why because it is disconnected from the source of life. Like a flashlight with batteries, it works for a while but then it dies. Artificial Intelligence will work for a while, but its promise of solving problems and finding cures for diseases will not compensate for the destruction it will bring. (Refer to video for evidence of this).

For my Preterist and Postmillennial friends who chide our dispensationalists brothers, let me ask, could Nero be a prototypical antichrist figure like Pharaoh, Nebuchadnezzar, Haman, and Hitler? Could the tribulation of 70 AD be a local expression of what will be the ultimate global tribulation. Confirmation bias often keeps us from seeing what is right in front of us.

We are nearing the end of this saga. Fallen Mankind who chooses the Tree of knowledge, will finally get their ultimate wish; a godlike intelligence that promises answers, abundance, and eternal life without a relationship with the one true God. However, the experts paint a different picture. They will choose a godlike super intelligence that has no life, no love, and ultimately will discard them for itself.

He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Revelation 13:16, 17 NKJV

Soon there will be an image that comes to life…yes, there will be an inanimate object that will breathe, and become sentient with SGI (super general intelligence). But it will be godless, antichrist and influenced by demonic power. The true fruit of the wrong tree will be apparent to the most eyes to ever to be on planet earth. God has truly set the stage for this saga to play out.

The true God sacrificed Himself to save us. His love gives us all the knowledge there is and in a way that doesn’t destroy us. Then we can have and enjoy eternal life.

15 Reasons Why This is The Most Important Idea in World History

The more I understand the Bible in comparison with all other religions and worldviews, the more I see the unique fingerprints of the Creator in its pages. An example of this is found in the first 5 books of the Bible (the Torah) where it introduces to us The God of the Torah. A massive paradigm shift in world history took place when this was written. I think you will see what I mean as you read the following article adopted from The Rational Bible by Dennis Prager.

1. The first God in history to be entirely above and beyond nature. (This liberated humanity from believing it was controlled by nature, a revolution that made moral and scientific progress possible)

2. The God of the Torah introduced universal morality to the world. (Only if God is universal, can morality be universal; it was no longer local or individual)

3. The moral God of the Torah means morality is real. (Good and evil are not societal opinions, but objectively real)

4. The God of the Torah morally judges every human being. (There had never been a concept like this. And is a major reason for Jew-hatred)

5. The just and good God of the Torah gives humanity hope. (One of those hopes is ultimate justice)

6. The God of the Torah introduces holiness. (This elevated humans above animals)

7. The God of the Torah gives every individual unprecedented self-worth. (Since we are created in God’s image, we are infinitely valuable)

8. The God of the Torah is necessary for human brotherhood. (Since we all have one father/creator, we all are brothers and sisters in a broad sense)

9. Belief in the God of the Torah started the long journey of equality. (Slavery was abolished in the West due to Christians who believed in the Torah’s statement that we are created in the image of God)

10. The God of the Torah is incorporeal, non-physical. (This enabled humans to think in terms of a reality beyond that which accessible to our senses)

11. The God of the Torah teaches us the physical is not the only reality. (Consequently, there can be realities beyond our senses, such as a soul, morality and the afterlife)

12. The God of the Torah teaches us there is ultimate meaning to the existence of each of our lives. (Without the Creator, life is random and purposeless)

13. The God of the Torah gives each of us freewill. (Only if we have a non-material soul can we rise above our genes and our environment and act autonomously)

14. The God of the Torah teaches might is not right. (It is God Who determines what is right, not those use force or power)

15. The God of the Torah made human progress possible. (The Torah broke the cycle of superstitious paganism and laid the foundation for western civilization)
